Have you ever been “that guy” (or girl), who got caught snapping a pic or even worse, had your phone ring during a ceremony? With the crazy amount of devices we all have the “unplugged ceremony” is becoming increasingly popular.
The ceremony is the main event. It is emotional, intimate, and it deserves to be witnessed in person rather than through the screen of a phone. Specify your request at your wedding entrance or ask someone to make an announcement before the start of the ceremony.
Not sure how to tell them? Here are a couple of options:
- Oh Snap! Thank you for coming – we have but one plea, please keep our ceremony camera-free!
- We really want to see your faces, not your devices. Please put away cameras and phones until after the ceremony.
- Welcome to our unplugged ceremony, we invite you to be fully present. Please turn off all devices and enjoy!
