4 Ways To Save Money On Your Big Day

You have booked our Rockwall Wedding Venue and are getting excited! But let’s be real, you’re also looking to save a little money and maybe not spend your entire wedding budget. We’ve got some tips for you on how to save some money at your wedding!

The first, and easiest, way to save money on your big day is to cut the guest list. Your coworker that you don’t really like or your 3rd cousin that you don’t really know doesn’t need to come to your wedding, so just don’t invite them. While it might seem like a huge deal at the moment, it really isn’t. If you’re spending $100 per head for food and drinks, cutting down only 10 people will save you a whole $1000!

You can also save money on printed materials. Rather than having a separate RSVP card in your wedding invitation package, ask your guests to RSVP on your wedding website. This will save you a little bit of money on paper and printing for your wedding. You can also take out the blotting paper from your invitation package. This paper was once in the envelope to stop undried ink from getting on the envelope, but in the age of printers, it just isn’t necessary any longer.

DIY decor is your friend! This doesn’t mean that you have to DIY every single thing at your wedding, but if you love painting or lettering, you can save money and do your own signage, table settings, and even invitations. This is a great way to cut down on some costs for your wedding decor.

Lastly, consider doing a buffet instead of a seated dinner. It does take a little longer, but it ends up being cheaper. This ends up paying off and guests can choose the amount of food that they want! It is a win-win for everyone involved.
