Best First Looks

While they are a fairly new trend, The White Sparrow Barn has seen quite a few creative first looks – below we have collected the best first looks to inspire your future first look.

A Grand Reveal

While many couples first lock eyes on their big day as the bride walks down the aisle, some couples prefer a more intimate first look. If you still would like a grand entrance, this first look is for you. Have the bride positioned behind a set of doors and have the photographer ready to capture the grooms reaction as he opens the doors to reveal the bride in her wedding dress. This obviously works inside, but can also work outside by setting up a pair of stand alone doors.

Staircase Descent

If you’ve dreamed of having a ballroom entrance like the movies, ask your photographer to photograph your first look as you come down the staircase with your groom waiting with anticipation at the bottom of the stairs. Our barn has a beautiful staircase fit for this sort of set up.

The First Touch

If you’re not sure about seeing each other before the wedding, the first touch is the middle ground between tradition and this new trend. Couples hold hands around some form of partition so that neither can see each other while still allowing for photos together before the ceremony. These make for some very romantic photos for the couple to look back on while still keeping with tradition.
