Don’t Forget to Leave Room in Your Wedding Timeline for These Details

Dallas Wedding Venue

As a Dallas wedding venue we know the value of a good wedding timeline. Make sure to work with your planner or coordinator to leave room in your timeline for these important details.

Hair and Makeup Timing

Many don’t schedule enough time for hair and makeup and end up having less time for photos before the ceremony. It’s best to start by working backwards from when you’d like to start taking photos. Consult your makeup and hair stylist for this one but a good rule of thumb is 30 minutes per person per service. Depending on how big your bridal party is you may have to start extra early. Coffee anyone?

Venue Load-in Time

Like many venues, White Sparrow Barn has a window of 9 a.m. – 12 midnight for each wedding. Extra time outside the contracted time is charged accordingly. To avoid this make sure to allow enough time for load-in and load-out. Talk to your floral and event design team about how much time they will need to set up and tear down, especially if the design is more complicated.

Private Moment

As you’ve probably heard, your wedding day will fly by. Set aside a 15-minute window  before you’re introduced into your reception for you and your new husband to have a private moment alone. Also if you’re dress needs to be bustled, this is the time to do it.

Band Break Time

If you plan on having a live brand per most bands contracts they require a break. Have a playlist in place to play during this time and schedule the cake cutting or other reception activities during this time to draw attention away from the empty stage.
