Winter Barn Wedding Inspiration

Winter Barn Wedding Inspiration

Whether you are dreaming of your big day or beginning the planning process, these winter barn wedding ideas are a must-see!

Reclaimed Wood

Rustic barns are full of wooden characteristics that give your wedding that rustic look we all love. Add in reclaimed wood decor to weave the rustic look throughout the whole wedding. From small details, like wood slices as centerpieces, to using wooden palettes to hang escort cards, these additions will enhance the rustic barn feel.

Galvanized Metal

Bring an industrial feel to your barn wedding venue by adding galvanized metal decor. Opt for a metal lantern with candles to add soft romantic lighting or use metal buckets to display wedding favors. Take the trend to your tablescapes by adding metal candle holders to your centerpiece.

String Lights

Add a little twinkle to your winter wedding with string lights. Wrap string lights around low limbs on the trees outside. Whether you have an indoor or outdoor wedding, it will add a whimsical feel to your wedding and give guests a romantic view.

Skip the Linens

Forget the table linens and showcase a bare wooden table during the reception. Barn weddings are all about the rustic feel and showing off bare wood will help add to the rustic feel. Add a burlap table runner to the tables to enhance the texture of the table.

Wreaths

Decorate your ceremony with lush green wreaths. It adds a winter feel to your wedding while showcasing lavish greenery.  Add extras (like ribbon bows) to the wreath to tie in your wedding colors.

Peppermint

Complete your winter wedding with peppermint additions. Place candy canes on top of each napkin or place setting. While this may not feel rustic, wrap it in lush green pine or burlap to incorporate the rustic feel.

Pine Cones

Bring the outside in by adding pine cones to your wedding decor. From floral centerpieces to bouquets, to even baskets on display – you can add pinecones just about anywhere. It’s an easy winter but rustic addition and adds a touch of nature to your wedding.

Bare Branches

Skip florals centerpieces and fill your vases with bare branches. It’s a different take on floral arrangements but meshes with the season and the rustic texture. Add string lights or small ornaments to dress up the bare branches.
