DFW Wedding Venue
The new big deal at our DFW wedding venue is the Grand Exit. Not only is it fun to send the happy couple off in a fun way, but you can get some beautiful pictures, as well! We used to see rice used almost exclusively to send the newly married couple on their way. Now we see so many fun and unique ways that really capture who the couple is. The White Barn wanted to share with you some of the unique and breathtaking ways we have seen couples being sent off by their loved ones.
A recent classic – sparklers! If your reception is ending at night, this is the perfect send-off. This method of sending couples off is tried and true of getting stunning images of couples running through everyone cheering them on. Here at The White Sparrow Barn we love sparkler exits, just make sure you know about all of our policies on them.
A very cute trend that we have seen a couple of times is paper airplanes! Have different colors of paper to give to all of your guests to make paper airplanes with. As you are going through everyone, they can throw their paper planes in front of or above you.
Are you earth-conscious, but still really like the idea of confetti? Ditch the confetti and glitter for something more sustainable: eco-fetti! This still has all the fun and colors of confetti, but if people miss picking up a couple of pieces, they will biodegrade on their own.
Lastly, if you and your beloved met at your university, consider having guests wave towels or flags with your university’s logo or emblem on them. This will feel like a true walk down memory lane as you both remember how it all began, knowing where you are now.
