It’s no question that COVID-19 has impacted tons of industries around the world, but the event and wedding space has been difficult to navigate. We’ve learned a lot about safety precautions with booking more and more Dallas COVID weddings, and we’re here to share the best Dallas COVID Wedding Precautions to plan for.

Prior to the Wedding
Considering the number of guests along with the size of your ceremony and reception venue(s) is the first and foremost thing to consider when planning. Think about the social distancing needed for each one of your guests to feel comfortable and safe. Before the invites are sent out, mapping out the space available and needed is key.
By sending out a mandatory email pre-screening is another highly-suggested Dallas Wedding COVID precaution. Any attendees who are showing symptoms within 96 hours of the event, attendees that have traveled to highly-affected cities within 14 days of the event, or attendees in direct contact with a person showing symptoms within 14 days of the event should not attend.
Staff and Vendors
For getting ready for your Wedding Party, all beauty vendors should be required to wear face masks and gloves as much as possible along with an increase of hand-washing and wiping down surfaces/items. Since it’s impossible for beauty vendors to accomplish their jobs with social distancing, it’s important to pay close attention to pre-screening these professionals. The rest of your staff and vendors should also be required to follow these procedures.
The Wedding Party
Ask your Wedding Party what they prefer for the ceremony. Would they feel more comfortable walking down the aisle alone and then sit with guests socially distanced? Or would they like the traditional route of standing at the altar while keeping a social distance of 6 feet apart?
Ceremony Details
Upon your guests’ arrival, it’s advised to have a designated person help with temperate checks. At the entrance, you can also offer mini hand sanitizers, masks, and programs.
As for ceremony seating, you can measure six-feet and make the space feel full! Adding wedding decor, such as greenery or fairy lights, between the seats will add a new twist. Plus, your guests will literally feel more connected and included.
Transportation Considerations
For weddings with separate ceremony and reception venues, transportation has proven to be an added challenge in this wedding season of COVID. Booking busses or shuttles will help with the spacing. Reception Details
Bistro tables that seat 2-4 people are a perfect alternative. Think of a recent trip you’ve had to a restaurant. How did they space their tables for COVID precautions? We also recommend giving guests the freedom to sit with whomever they choose.
The dance floor aspect of the reception is strange because you want to keep it fun and memorable while keeping distance. Including various small dance floors instead of a large main dancefloor is the perfect way to continue the party without losing safety.
After the Wedding
Remember to account for the health of your attendees and vendors about 1-2 weeks after the wedding. It’s extremely important for everyone to be informed about any symptoms to avoid additional exposure to the virus.
